HEALTH MATTERS 2
To enable you to have a happy healthy holiday, we have pużt together the
following important informatiożn regarding possible health problems.
Dehydration
Drink at least 2-3 litres of bottled water daily. Avoid alcohol
consumption in the sun.
Skin
Do not lie out in the sun for long periods and always use a high factor
sun-cream. Initially sunbath early morning or after 5pm.
Always reapply suncream after swimming. Avoid long periods in the sea or
pool witohut a t-shirt on. Beware of the mosquito, apply repellent
creams and use plug-ins where possible
Ears
Always dry ears well after each exposure to water.
After swimming and showering rinse the ears with fresh water and dry
thoroughly with a clean towel or tissue.
Stomach
Do not drink tap water. Wash all fruit well with bottled water. Remember
you will be eating differentfoods therefore do not change your diet too
drastically or too quickly. Avoid ice-cubes.
Health Advice
Any pain or discomfort experienced in the ear, medical advise should be
sought.
If you experience any nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea, contact your local
medical centre.
Diarrhoea remedies are not recommended for prolonged use.
Your skin is not designed for all changes experienced whilst on holiday.
Do not apply too many chemicals to your skin.
For sever sunburn, drink water and attend local medical centre
You may feel faint, disorientated, nauseous. Lay down, do not make
sudden movements, call medical help.
