Dolmus: A
dolmus (a minibus) is a collective transportation mean which follows
specific routes and is recognisable by its signs ( telling the routes)
on the front glass. Each passenger pays according to the distance
travelled to specific stops.
You can either hail a passing dolmus or you can go to the City Centre's
Dolmus station.
This is a very practical means of transport and much cheaper than a taxi
Bus:
An Extensive conventional bus services operate Fethiye. These are
generally reliable, modern and easy to use, although publicity is non-existent.
Tickets are bought in advance from kiosks and dropped into a box by the
driver.
Unlike taxis and dolmus, you cannot hail and be picked up by a bus- this
is illegal.
Taxis:
They are all yellow coloured. The fare shown on the meter counter
depending on the distance travelled.
You can either hail a passing taxi or you can go to one of the stations
which exist in every resort.
You can book a private hire taxi by visiting the station or by telephone.
Taxi may be expensive in resorts! . For longer journeys, the fare should
be agreed beforehand.
