After you meet your tour guide, you have a ferry trip to Yalova, then by coach to the city of Bursa, the first capital city of the Ottomans and one of the most important treasure houses of Islamic sculpture. We will visit the Green Mosque and the neighbouring Green Mausoleum, both world-renowned for their fantastic tile decoration, in the late of 14th century Great Mosque and the Koza Han, which for hundred years was the center of Bursa's improving silk trade. After having an enjoying leisurely cable car ride up the steep slopes of Mount Olympus, we go to the historic village of Cumalikizik. This is one of the best protected Ottoman villages in Turkey with scores of picturesque houses built in the traditional type. We will have lunch at one of Bursa's most famous traditional Turkish restaurants, where we will taste the finest authentic Ottoman cuisine in a historic setting, where Sultan Murat II once dined.
