Moving westward from Fethiye, you catch
a glimpse of the sea among the thich mantle of trees. The brotherhoot of sea

believed that Gocek and its environs were the city of Doidalos in the antique
period. In the records of Strabo and Herodot, Daidalos is mentioned as a Lycian

summer harbours at the Tersane Island, the Gobun Cove, Sarsala, Boynuzbukii, the
Yassyca Islands, the Gocek Island and the others are just a few beautiful spots
worth visiting.
Gocek is only 25 kms. to the Dalaman
Airport. It is the closest to the airport among the centers of tourism in the
recjion and thus it is an ideal choice for a vveekend escapade. There are
accommodation facilities of various standards as well as boarding houses which
are open throughout the year.
It is 30 km. away from province, and on
the Fethiye - Muðla highway. Gocek, which has an appearance of a sweet fisherman
