Different cultures existent in settlements ranging from the coastline to the mountains and plateaus embrace each other and add colour to the lifestyle in Fethiye. In a typical Fethiye panorama, it is very common to discern a nomad with a fisherman. The folkloric features in the area such as music, folk dances, local food and handicrafts show a variance from other regions of Turkey.

Kaya Rugs: The rugs woven at Kaya Koyu with hand-looms over centuries are distinguished by their original patterns, colours and the technique of madder root dyes.

Dastar: produced at traditional and-looms in Uzumlu, dastar is ade of cotton threads either plain or ith designs embroidered in white-on- white. Various products made from dastar are available in the shopping centers everywhere in Fethiye.

Kilim: The flat-woven carpets, especially in she form of saddlebags and floor covering, wiith local patterns, are produced at traditional hand-looms in the villages of Seydiler, Atlydere. Karaculha and Eldirek of Fethiye.

Kolan: This is another handicraft of Fethiye, displaying locol cultural features, woven as narrow and lonq belts in various colours and patterns.
