HOROZLU BABA

If you follow the old road from Fethiye to Kaya, you can easily reach Horozlu Baba. If you choose the road via Hisaronu, it takes longer. You had better take the old Kaya road climbing up from Debboy. When you reach the top, take a rest. Facing Kaya, note the cistern on the hill..There is a road there leading to the left. Vehicles cannot go through during winter, but in summer months, some people use this road to load timber or goat droppings on their tractors.You follow this route. After a walk of about fifteen meters, you will come to a somewhat large grave among the shrubs. This is the grave of Horozlu Baba, which is larger than an ordinary one, with pieces of cloth tied to the shrubs on its head.

On the day before the religious feasts and on significant dates and when there is a pause in tobacco planting, the women of Kaya and Keciler get together for a visit to Horozlu Baba.
